May 29, 2008 - Fundraising Dinner for China Earthquake Relief

Fundraising Dinner for China Earthquake Relief was hosted at Fortune Garden Restaurant with over one hundred and twenty guests. With the generous support from the restaurant’s owner Mr. Lam and many dignitaries, the dinner turned out to be a great success and raised over $60,000 for those deeply in need in China. All proceed will go to Tzu Chi Foundation for earthquake relief.

May 25, 2008 - Charity Car Wash and BBQ Fundraising for China Earthquake Relief

Charity Car Wash and BBQ Fundraising for China Earthquake Relief was held at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond on May 25, 2008. With the support from Lansdowne Centre, Richmond Fire Department, Denny’s Restaurant, Lions club members and volunteers, the event was a great success. $11,000 was raised for the China Earthquake Relief and all proceed will go to the Canadian Red Cross.

May 10, 2008 - Vancouver Diamond Lions Club Installation 2008

Vancouver Diamond Lions Club Installation 2008 was hosted on May 10, 2008 at River Rock Casino with over two hundred and twenty guests. The installation was proudly supported by Past International Directors Ralph Long and Dur Robinson, District Governor Henry Ng, District Governor Elect Cecil Fung, Vice District Governor Elect Dickie Lam, A7 Zone Chairman Troy Dalen and many VIP guests from various Lions Club.

March 01, 2008 District 19A Charity Fund Raising Dinner & Dance for SightFirst II

On March 1, 2008 Vancouver Diamond Lions Club (VDLC) and DG Henry Ng co-hosted the District 19A Fund Raising Dinner & Dance event to raise fund for Campaign SightFirst II. VDLC raised over $30,000 for the Campaign SightFirst II and with the help of other Lions Clubs including Vancouver Chinatown, Vancouver Cathay, Vancouver Cambie, Vancouver Arbutus and Vancouver Shaughnessy, over $100,000 was raised to help those in need. "Walk with the Dragon" - Over 30 members joined this meaningful activity and the club successfully raised over $3,500.

April 15, 2007.

Vancouver Diamond Lions Club was officially chartered with Pius Chan as the Charter President.  The event was hosted at Four Season Sheraton with over three hundred guests participated, including participants from three levels of government and many consuls.  Other dignitaries such as Guiding Lions Rita Fok and Cecil Fung, and Advisors Past International Director Ralph Long and Vice District Governor Henry Ng joined to celebrate the installation of Vancouver Diamond Lions Club.  We had 84 members as of the charter night.
